Often times our parents are given a long list of items to complete before they will be reunited with their children (whether it be finding a stable job, stable housing, or drug/alcohol cessation; every case is unique). The State of Virginia requires that they complete these tasks in twelve months, or risk losing their parental rights.
This can seem almost impossible to face alone. Now think about your support system. Who do you go to when you need help? Some parents may not have as extensive of a support system to rely on.
Here at HOPE, we are committed to coming alongside our parents and providing them support during this difficult journey. HOPE’s goal is to connect our parents with an extensive group of professionals that will help them achieve each goal on their list in order to heal and bring their family together again.
